Sunland Park
When I was staying in El Paso, Texas, my colleagues and I drove over the New Mexico boarder to a restaurant called State Line Restaurant. They had really great barbecue.

Mexico Boarder
After we were done with dinner, we drove up to the New Mexico and Mexico boarder. It was crazy to me that there was only just a small fence separating the two countries. Someone could easily climb over it if they wanted to. We did see boarder patrol cars driving around though, but I could see how at night it would be easier for someone to jump the fence and hide.
Bucket List
If I ever make it back to New Mexico, I want to go to the following:
- Carlsbad Caverns (ranger led tours)
- Santa Fe (art galleries, dining, etc.)
- Pueblos (there are 19 Pueblo tribes in New Mexico. Each pueblo is a sovereign nation.)
- Albuquerque (hot air balloon festival, aerial tram)
- White Sands (arrive an hour before sunset)
