Kentucky

Fourteen of my friends and I rented a houseboat for a week in August. We packed into three cars, and drove 8 houses down to Kentucky.
Lexington
On our drive down, when we got to Lexington, Kentucky, we stopped at a store called the Liquor Barn. This store was essentially a warehouse full of booze. We bought 12 half gallons, and 17 thirty packs of beer. It was a slightly insane amount for 14 people.

Lake Cumberland

Once we got to lLake Cumberland and got out boat, luckily, one of the guys knew how to drive the boat, so we didn’t need to have someone at the marina help us. The boat had two stories of living space, 7 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and dining room, and a rooftop with a hot tub to party on.

Every morning we would all jump in the lake to shower, and then set sail to a new location to spend our day. We had a lot of fun with our rafts and just hanging out listening to music mad having a good time with everyone.

We brought a bunch of food down for sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, etc., and celebrated living the good life with no worries because for the most part, our phones didn’t have service, so we were really able to live in the moment.
