During my senior year of college at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, my friend Shriya and I decided to drive to Chicago in the middle of a snow storm to celebrate her birthday there. The roads were in the worst condition I’ve ever driven in before in my entire life. In Gary, Indiana there is an enormous bridge that you have to go over, and I do not think I’ve ever been so scared driving in my life. The roads were not plowed at all, and we couldn’t see more than 10 feet in front of our faces. Thankfully I was driving my Jeep Cherokee, but any time I have driven to Chicago since, that horrible moment haunts my memory. We had a very great time in Chicago. I hope to come back to Indiana some day and enjoy my time there a little bit more than my experiences driving through it to get to Chicago. 🙂
