Sandusky

Ever since I was in middle school, I loved going down to Ohio to go to Cedar Point in Sandusky. Sandusky is about a two hour drive from where we lived in Metro Detroit, so it’s easy to make a day trip down there. One time I went with my family, and I was the only one that liked roller coasters and wanted to go on any rides; I think my brother was still too young at the time. My friends and I would take buses down there with a big group of kids from school, and we always had so much fun. One time I went for Halloweekends, but we were all too scared and left early; we didn’t go in any of the haunted houses!! There are so many great roller coasters at the park. It is definitely worth a trip if you are in the area.

Nick, my younger brother, went to Ohio State University and played Varsity Lacrosse for the school. I went down once to visit him for a football weekend, and had so much fun. I really liked how the campus and was organized, and how the off campus housing and restaurants were organized as well. Everything was so close, and you didn’t have to walk too far to get anywhere.

I also went down with my parents and grandparents for my brothers graduation in 2013. It was the worst graduation ceremony I had ever sat through in my life, and I have graduated three times!!! It was outside at the Ohio State University Football Stadium, and the whole entire school graduates at the same time. The University read the names off for every single PH.D. Student, and then for masters and undergraduates just called the college and the section stood up and walked down to grab their diplomas. We sat there for so long and barley got to see him, and they don’t even walk across the stage. I’m glad I won’t have to attend anymore graduations for a long time. I did see the Kappa Alpha Theta house at Ohio State, which I did enjoy seeing. And I am also very proud of him for graduating from a school where he was able to play a sport he loves so much.
