Lake Geneva
In 2011, I visited Lake Geneva with a group of interns. We stayed at The Abbey Resort, and listened to a bunch of great speakers and worked on team building activities. One of the nights, our Company rented two Boat Cruises, which we cruised around the lake and networked with other interns and colleagues while sipping wine and beer. It was a really fun experience, and I was able to meet a lot of great people at our Company.
Madison
In 2013, I traveled to Madison with a colleague from Detroit the week before Christmas for a short one week project. The day before we flew in, a plane slid off the runway because of the terrible ice and snow. When we got to our rental car, the doors were frozen shut.
Despite the terrible weather, we really had an enjoyable time in Madison. There are so many delicious restaurants in the city. We went to a cute diner downtown called Hubbard Avenue Diner. We also went to a delicious fun and hip restaurant called Bluephies where we got amazing Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Egg Rolls; each one fried to order and served with vanilla custard and chocolate sauce, and I’ll never forget it. We also went to a really cute wine bar called Zeno Vino. I would highly recommend checking out the different delicious food in Madison.
